Blackpool for Fun!
Blackpool is Lancashire’s famous seaside resort and one of the very busiest and most popular in the UK. People from all over the UK and all over the world visit Blackpool for their family holidays, day trips and special occasions, such as hen-nights and stag nights. Blackpool has a reputation for FUN! VRBlackpool is your Virtual Reality Blackpool Tour.
Blackpool has many, many attractions – it is really is dedicated to entertainment. As well as the glorious, long flat, sandy beach which extends from North Shore to the brand-new seafront development at South Shore, you can visit the famous Blackpool Tower (to dance in the Tower ballroom, or go to the Tower circus), ride a tram up and down the promenade, play on the arcade machines and in the Bingo Halls of Central Pier or South Pier or anywhere on Blackpool's Golden Mile, take a trip on a horse-drawn carriage, go shopping in Houndshill, swim and play at The Sandcastle Water Park, enjoy the thrills and spills of the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach or see sharks and sea creatures at the enormous Sea Life Centre. In the evening, why not see a show at the Winter Gardens or the Grand Theatre? Or dance the night away in a club with some of the many big name DJs who also like to party here?
Blackpool Zoo and Parks
Just a few minutes away from the town centre, you can also spend a day at Blackpool Zoo, take some time out at Stanley Park (maybe take a rowing boat out on the lake?), or wander around Blackpool Model Village and Gardens.
And the fun doesn’t stop when summer ends: Blackpool’s famous Illuminations light up the promenade every autumn, extending the holiday season and drawing the crowds from all over the North and West.
And if none of this appeals, you can just enjoy a drink and some of Blackpool’s famous fish and chips, while you watch the hen and stag parties go by, mingling with families out for a day in the fresh air and fun that is Blackpool.
Blackpool - Piers
Visit the three piers, the North (built in 1863), Central (1868) and South (1893). Blackpool Tower, built in May 1894, is a 518-foot-tall copy of the Eiffel Tower. It was painted gold for its centenary in 1994.
